I went to the Llowellen gallery right on the Alfred State campus. This exhibition was on works of art created by various teachers within the school. It was great to see some of the works produced by many of the professors that have been teaching me the past 3 years. I was however, astonished to see that they had not put up statements of their work, or at least not that I could see.
There were a few that really hit me as intriguing but the two I found most, were Sandra’s. The painting below, was a painting of the sea, with a sculpture of the sea in front of it. Mixing the two mediums in the way is very clever, it gave lots of depth and space to a work that other wise could have been more flat looking.
