In my work I created a large amount of atmospheric perspective through using value change. I slowly made my darkest of darks to the lightest of lights. This value change also created contrast that was dark in the left bottom half of the paper to light at the top right of the paper.

That dark to light helps keep your eye in the middle of the paper. In my work there is only one circle, and that circle is the eye of the skull. This eye works as a focal point for the piece and is continually drawing your eye to that direction. When creating shadows in the skull I created them to look organic and made them to be yet another force directing your eye to the eye to the skull.
